I'm sorry I've been so quiet.

Like Alice, I fell down the rabbit hole.

I chatted with the Cheshire Cat.

I sipped tea with the Mad Hatter.

And now, I've finally clawed my way back to the surface and natural daylight once again.

But unlike Alice, I didn't visit Wonderland.

Instead, I've been taking a tour of AI Land (which, at the rate we're going, might soon be a theme park you can visit with your kids).

AI Land is a fascinating and frankly baffling place to explore.

The landscape changes virtually every day. Just when you think you have your bearings, you find yourself lost in the woods.

New products and solutions pop up each week, demanding time, attention, and (of course) money.

How do you approach all this without getting instantly overwhelmed?

I'm not sure I have a sure-fire answer just yet.

Some days, I'm zeroed in and work with AI like a long-time business partner.

Others, I feel like I'm chatting with 1,000 chimps with typewriters.

However, in the midst of this chaos, I have found one approach that helps quiet the noise a bit...

Start specific and then get more abstract.

For example, I've been using AI to create a virtual version of my ideal customer persona (or avatar).

First, I drafted a persona specifically for my business, using one prompt at a time.

Then, I created a repeatable process for generating new personas.

Finally, I set up a Custom GPT to chat with my persona about anything at any time.

I would have been overwhelmed if I'd tried to create that Custom GPT first. It was too much to figure out.

But by taking one small step at a time, I eventually found a process that works.
